Classes

Teaching philosophy:
Incorporating a physical practice, breath work, and meditation techniques, Compass Yoga teaches students to focus, relax, and find a greater sense of ease in daily life. We welcome the opportunity to work with students of all levels in group and one-on-one classes.

Bloomingdale Public Library
When:
Every Thursday night, 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Where:
New York Pubic Library – Bloomingdale Branch
150 West 100th Street (between Amsterdam and Columbus)
Who: Suitable for any level of adult student (13 and older) – from brand new beginners to seasoned practitioners.

Please bring your own mat or beach towel to practice if you’d like to use one during the class. Also, if you find certain props helpful (blocks, straps, blankets, etc.) please bring them along, too.

Muhlenberg Public Library
When:
every second and fourth Thursday of the month starting on January 12, 2012, 6:00pm – 7:00pm
(For the start of 2012, the dates are January 12th and 26th, February 9th and 23rd, and March 8th and 22nd)
Where: New York Public Library – Muhlenberg Branch
209 West 23rd Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues)
Who: Suitable for any level of adult student (13 and older) – from brand new beginners to seasoned practitioners. Highly encourage veterans and their adult family members to attend.

Riverside Public Library

Every Saturday, 10:30am – 11:30am
Where:
New York Pubic Library – Riverside Branch
127 Amsterdam Avenue (between 65th and 66th Streets)
Who: Suitable for any level of adult student (13 and older) – from brand new beginners to seasoned practitioners.

One-on-one classes:
When and where:
scheduled individually and can be held onsite or at our studio at 80 East 11th Street or at Kula Yoga Project at 28 Warren Street
Fee*:
$100/hour
*May be adjustable depending upon the financial circumstances of the student(s)
